QLD’s South East Regional Plan 2009-2031

The purpose of the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2009–2031 (SEQ Regional Plan) is to manage regional growth and change in the most sustainable way to protect and enhance quality of life in the region.

Daniel’s view – I found this a really interesting read. QLD plan to spend $134bn over the next 16 years, which will make the region not only more liveable than the great weather gives Queenslanders now, but it will make their journey to work shorter. From building employment hubs, to more, wider and faster roads and an improved rail network, South East Queensland will see more people migrate their than before.

– Brisbane looks to increase it’s population by 28%;

– The Gold Coast looks to increase its population by 51%;

– The Sunshine Coast looks to increase its population by 68%.
